Primacare one and multiviatimins

I am getting married in a month and a half and I have tried very hard to loose weight. My doctor prescribed Primacare One to me because we are going to try and get pregnant right away. I noticed the pills are made with vegetable shortening. Is this going to make me gain weight if I start taking them? if so, I would rather wait until after the wedding. Also, my pharmacist said it is O.K. to take a daily multi-vitamin with the Primacare one, but I read on your website that you shouldn't. I am confused on what to take in addition to this pill. I normally take a multi-vitamin, vitamin C and folic acid. Thank you!

The amount of vegetable oil in these shouldn't be enough to make anyone gain weight.
