Risks of using Theracys

Does the possible side effects of using this treatment for bladder cancer outweigh the benefits? For example, would it be prudent for an 83 year old man with severe coronary artery disease to take this medicine? Considering his age and medical problems, would it not be better to remove the small cancerous tumors in the bladder and omit using this medicine, as one of the possible side effects could be severe inflammation of the lungs which could ultimately be responsible for death as the pat may be too old or weak to recover from such a side affect?
Also, should a tuberculin skin test be performed prior to treatment with this medicine, as I have read in the literature? Would the results of this test show the patient to be more at risk for a reaction and therefore prohibit its use?It would seem that the use of this medication may be contraindicated in certain patients depending on their age and general health.

Thanks
