Is Loperamide Hydrochloride safe during pregnancy?

I am 7 weeks pregnant and suffering from infrequent loose stools. I am concerned with taking any medication that could potentially have adverse effects on my fetus. I used Loperamide Hydrochloride prior to my pregnancy and liked the results. I would like to continue using this product during my pregnancy, but only if it is safe for the baby.
