TINNERTIS in relation to FOSINOPRIL

I have had Tinnitus for about 8 years, and only just realised that it could be caused by Fosinopril. I know I did not have Tinnitus before taking fosinopril because the doctor who gave me Fosinopril had left the practice when I visited the practice complaining about the onset of ringing in my ears.

I wonder if by stopping taking Fosinopril, it will be to late after 8 years and I will continue to have tinnitus for life, if I did stop taking the Fosinopril and the tinnitus stopped, it would proove it is the Fosinopril causing my Tinnitis, and would this be halmful to me after taking Fosinopril after such a long time?
