side effects

I have been subscribe piroxicam 20mg for a tooth infection I was on IV (anitbodies and anit-inflamitory with pain killer) for four days twice a day treatment. Then the Doctor put me on 500mg anitbotics three times a day along with piroxicam 20mg once a day. I had been taking these faithfully every day for four days then on the five day I began throwing up and upset stomach, cold chills, cramping. Are these typical side effects with Prioxicam?
