Can I Drink With TRIMETHOPRIM?

Hello,

I have recently been prescribed trimethoprim tablets as my doctor said i have got a slight urinary infection,i diddnt know weather i could drink with these and i forgot to actually ask my doctor,i dont think drinking will do anything as it isnt actually a antibiotic,i just wanted to check just incase better to be safe than sorry!.Please get back to me as soon as possible
