Shortage of medicine containing SODIUM CELLULOSE PHOSPHATEBy Daniel Avramidis from Athens, Greece on July 19, 2006 Category: SODIUM CELLULOSE PHOSPHATE (Oral) (Powder) Dear Madame, Sir, I am desperately searching for a medicine that contains SODIUM CELLULOSE PHOSPHATE. Recently CALCISORB (3M Pharmaceuticals), CALCIBIND and ANACALCIT (Belmac Laboratories Spain) have been used, but production has been interrupted. The medicine has been used to treat kidney stones caused by hypercalcuria. Can you please advise if such medicine is available in the market even with another commercial name, or if you are aware of any replacement? Thank you in advance |
M.D.I'm a doctor in NYC and I'm looking for the same medication for one of my patients. I know they have it in Australia, however, I don't know how to contact someone there to send it to US. Please let me know if you have been able to get some supply of this medication. Sincerely, Alejandro Diaz, MD
