Possible side effects from Hydrocortisone use

I have ulcerative colitis. I have been on hydrocortisone rectal suspension enemas for approximately 2 months. I started with every night for 21 days, next went to every other night with a 21 day supply, and am now at every 3rd night. I have no problem retaining the enema for the entire night and my ulcerative colitis seems to be fairly under control right now; however, I have noticed an increase in headaches as I have tapered on the enemas - is this common / typical?

The headaches are located across the back of my head, just above my neck.

thank you,

Darryl Rohrer
