Water retentionBy Liz from U.S.A. on June 03, 2006 Category: Dexamethasone I take 1.5 mg of Dexamethasone every day. I have gained weight quickly i.e. 9 pds. in 6 -8 weeks. The first 5 pounds was real fast like in just a few weeks (2-3), then it slowed down a bit but I kept gaining every week. I feel very bloated. I went on a fixed low calorie diet (NutriSystems), last 3 weeks, and I actually gained weight instead of losing. It does NOT feel like normal weight gain, it feels like water weight. It's like being bloated on my period every day. Could this be water retention and if so what can I do about it? I don't want to have to go out and buy all new pants, shorts, etc. not to mention it feels horrible! |
