How much magnesium sulfate is required for bowel cleansing?By Ronald S from Ellicott City, Maryland on May 25, 2006 Category: Magnesium sulfate I purchased 24 ounces of bottled water enhanced with minerals. One of the minerals was magnesium sulfate. Before I had finished 1/2 of the bottle I began to experience loose bowels. I did not make a connection between the water and what I was encountering. I continued to drink the water. I drank most of it (approx 22 oz). Prior to drinking this water I was having no unusual bowel activity. I continued having bowel activity until 2:30 AM the following morning. The following day I was fine and I experienced no other side affects. It was as though I had taken a strong effective laxative. I am curious. What stength of magnesium sulfate solution would a person need to have an effective laxative of magnesium sulfate for a thorough bowel cleansing from drinking 22 oz? |
