Pregnancy Category: B Aphthasol (Rx)

Classification: Aphthous ulcer product.

Action/Kinetics: Mechanism not known. May be absorbed through GI tract.

Uses: Treat aphthous ulcers in those with normal immune systems.

Special Concerns: Use caution during lactation. Safety and efficacy in children have not been determined.

Side Effects: Transient pain, burning, or stinging at application site. Contact mucositis, nausea, diarrhea.

How Supplied: Paste: 5%

Dosage
?Paste Aphthous ulcers.
Squeeze about 0.25 inch of paste onto fingertip and, with gentle pressure, dab onto each mouth ulcer. Apply following oral hygiene after breakfast, lunch, dinner, and at bedtime. Start as soon as possible after symptoms of aphthous ulcer noted and continue until ulcer heals.
