does swimming while undergoing treatment a problem?

While undergoing treatment of my forehead with efudex, old bumpy skin (age 91) is it ok to go swimming? Pool is with saline water

Required skin contact duration for effectiveness.

I am using EFUDEX 5% twice a day and need to know how long it needs to be on your skin to be totally effective? I run everday and want to know if I should re-apply the cream after showering?   Thank you, Michael
