Capzasin Reactions

I tried Capzasin-HP for the first time today. The reaction with the burning is worse thatn the actual pain of my arthritis. How do I get it to STOP? It won't stop burning no matter what I do.

Is capsaicin effective for leg ulcers?

I have read the capsaicin can be useful in healing sores. A n 83 year old friend has chronic sores on her legs, and I wonder if capsaicin in some form would be indicated for treating these. She has tried a multitude of remedies with little relief.

As every comment before me, I also experienced an awful burning sensation after using this product that would not go away. This is what eventually worked for me: wash burning area with cold water and soap, apply vegetable or Olive oil to the area then rinse off oil with cold water. Feeling much better now.

Hope this helps,
Michelle

The worse ointment I ever used I was almost crying out loud with the burning sensation and pain. I used vinegar to break down oils... I got relief on my knees but my feet are burning like I dropped hot coals on it. Back to the kitchen to put more vinegar... if using do with caution., Very, very, very hot, burning sensation. Cannot imagine a child touching it.... again terrible

I WISH I WOULD OF LOOKED UP THIS MEDICINE BEFORE I USED IT! LIKE ALL THE OTHER COMMENTS ON HERE, THE BURNING IS UNBEARABLE. I HAVE FIBROMYALGIA AND I'D RATHER SUFFER PAIN FROM THAT INSTEAD OF THE BURNING OF MY HANDS. IT WILL NOT GO AWAY. I WASHED MY HANDS AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE, USED ICE PACKS TO COOL THE BURN AND BOUGHT ALOE VERA. NOTHING HELPED. THIS SHOULD BE A PRESCRIPED MEDICINE AND NOT AVAILABLE OVER THE COUNTER! I WILL NEVER, EVER USE IT AGAIN AND I WILL ADVISE ALL MY FIBRO SISTERS NOT TO USE THIS PRODUCT OR ANYONE ELSE I KNOW!!!!!!

Terrible Burning Sensation!!!! Would rather have the pain. Finally found some relief thru hours of research high fat milk or yogurt products. This can reduce the discomfort and may help to remove the remaining oils.
