Action/Kinetics: A hyperosmolar carbohydrate solution containing fructose, dextrose, and orthophosphoric acid with controlled hydrogen ion concentration. It relieves N&V due to a direct action on the wall of the GI tract that decreases smooth muscle contraction and delays gastric emptying time; the effect is directly related to the amount used.

Uses: Symptomatic relief of nausea due to upset stomach from intestinal flu, stomach flu, and food or drink. Investigational: Morning or motion sickness, regurgitation in infants, N&V due to drug therapy or inhaled anesthetics.
