My vagina started itching real bad the past two days. I think that it's probably some sort of bacterial infection which can be treated with over the counter creams. I also think that I might be pregnant but it would be too early to tell yet. What cream is safe to use for this itch and yet not cause any harm in case I am indeed pregnant?
The itching is not inside. It's basically on the outside of the vagina like by the clit and that area.

hope any of you have answers. thank you so much.

Does a yeast infection dissappear on its own or it must be treated? Also, how dangerous is it when ur pregnant? My doctor is away for a few days and I can't seem to get in contact with him. By the time he'll be back, it'll be about a full week from when the itching started. Is that too long to wait while pregnant or is it ok?

I would advise you to use over the counter yeast infection medications. However, because you may be pregnant, you should ask your Gynecologist or your family physician. If it's a bacterial infection, by the way, it will need to be treated with antibiotics so that's all the more reason to be in contact with your doctor in the event you are pregnant.

Yeast infections can go away on their own but most likely, you will need some medication. No, it's not good for you to wait until your doctor returns (if you are pregnant). Call your doctor's office and ask who the doctor is that is covering for your doctor. They have to have someone cover for them. It would be rare for him not to. If not, go to a walk-in clinic. Again, if you weren't pregnant, you could try the over-the-counter meds such as Monistat Creme, but because you are... you need to see a doctor real soon.

A yeast infection is not really dangerous during pregnancy. It'a actually really common in pregnant women. It's just uncomfortable. It's actually very comfortable. It can go away on its own, with creams. But eating lots of yougurt will do the trick.
