A couple of problems with my penis... Quote | Reply

Ok, I've been looking for some help with this for so long now, so please, if you know anything at all, please post.

Ok, I have a couple of problems with my penis that I need advice with. I know seeing a GP or something would be agood idea, but you know, I'd rather see if I can get help oustside a doctors office before I head in that direction - you know, I dont want to show him it or anything...typical teen excuses...

Ok, so the first thing is my foreskin. When it isn't erect, my foreskin can pull back easily, no problems, no pain, and it goes back perfectly as well. However, during an erection, my foreskin doesn't pull back easily at all, and it looks pretty odd and feels rather painful when it does. I've looked at it, and I've noticed elevation around the base of the head of my penis, and I'm not sure if thats normal. I've also looked at the front and noticed that where the skin joins to the head, it is also attached on one side, where I dont think it should be. When the forseskin isn't pulled back, an erection isn't painful at all, but it doesn't pull back naturally, and it hurts whenI pull it back. Any suggestions?

Secondly, I noticed little lumps on my penis, and I asked about that somewhere else, and I was told that around the base and stuff is actually hair folicles - which they were, I've noticed hair growing from them. However, there are also tiny white lumps around the rim of my foreskin - they're very small, and a little clustered, not too noticeable but noticeable enough. I was wondering if it was a mild, small case of genital warts? If so, how do I get rid of them?

Ok, thats it. Please help if you know anything about these problems, they've pagued me for so long now. Thanks.

From your description, I tend to think that you don't have warts. Small bumps on the penis can be a few things. Little white bumps on the shaft of the penis that don't hurt and are not red and swollen can be pimples or ingrown hairs. These are common and they're nothing to worry about. Another condition that's normal and no cause for worry is called pearly penile papules. These whitish bumps appear on the glans (top) of the penis, or along the edge of the glans, in about 15% to 20% of guys.

If you are or have been sexually active however, bumps on the penis may be signs of sexually transmitted diseases.

As for your other problem, it sounds as if your doctor didn't take off an adequate amount of foreskin when you were circumcised. Since this is bothering you (and is somewhat physically painful at times), you really should make an appointment with a urologist. Don't be embarrassed at all. They take care of these problems on a daily basis and you can get the proper treatment and help that you need.

Hi!You could have a condition called frenulum breve! HAve you been circumsied or not? If you haven't it is very likley that your frenulum (the band that connects foreskin and the head) is too short and it prevents your foreskin from retracting. If this is the case, your intercourses will be painful because they make the foreskin retract. It could cause pain and bleeding. YOu can have this fixed in a minor procedure called frenuloplasty but you need to see a doctor.

All of the bumps you described sound harmless. Those in clusters sound like pearly penile papulomas like the 2nd poster said and those white ones with hairs sticking out are naturally occuring sebaceous cysts caused by oil glands under the skin.
