Rash is not a serious nor is it one of the less serious side effects of TELMISARTAN (Micardis®) or MICARDIS HCT (telmisartan/hydrochlorothiazide). However, you should refer to the leaflet included with your package for more up-to-date information or call the manufactures*.
Thiazide diuretics have been reported to cause exacerbation or activation of systemic lupus erythematosus. You should talk with your doctor about another blood pressure lowering medicine to help control your blood pressure.
