For about a month now, my ass has been itching like hell. I have been sure to wash the area thoroughly, wipe very well, even wipe with wet toilet paper to make sure I am clean. My ass STILL itches. about a week ago I also noticed that when I wipe, there are small traces of blood on the paper. Also it feels now as if I have small cuts on my ass pipe. I don't know if it from the scratching, or if it is another symptom of some ailment. I am not the type that likes to go to the doctor and ask him to stare at my asshole. What can I do? Is this gonna be a big problem? Is this something that will just go away?

Have you tried any OTC products for your problem? I know there are lots out there, but don't know whether or not they cover severe itching of the anus as you mention.

Also, did you change soaps, lotions, or do you use anything else around that area? Possibly even a change in wardrobe might cause this...

Hope you can find a remedy. That sounds like a real annoying problem.

i have been in a similar situation. this is what i suggest you do: 1. the next time you take a shower be sure not to get soap around the "area" because that's what could be causing the itching 2. after getting out of the shower make sure the "area" is completely dry because the moisture could also be the cause of the itching 3. put some type of antiseptic ointment around the "area" 4. if the itching continues, (this is going to sound like a not so good idea but it worked for me so. . .) get a cotton swab put a little water on it then add some rubbing alcohol dab around the "area" but not directly on it 5 if after that you're still have problems just go to a doctor

These are very likely to be hemorrhoids. They itch and bleed. Try having sitz baths three times a day and wash your anal area every time after bowel movements. MAke sure you get it dried well.
