A nose bleed rarely indicates a serious disease, eventhough it may be frightening in the young adult. However, in middle aged it is quite often a sign of high blood pressure.

There is really nothing you should worry about, but I would ask my Doctor for futher tests. High blood pressure can cause nose bleeds as an attempt by the body to reduce the pressure.

Hope this answers your question!

Doctor: I am, bit by bit.
