A nose bleed rarely indicates a serious disease, eventhough it may be frightening in the young adult. However, in middle aged it is quite often a sign of high blood pressure. There is really nothing you should worry about, but I would ask my Doctor for futher tests. High blood pressure can cause nose bleeds as an attempt by the body to reduce the pressure. Hope this answers your question! REFERENCE(S) 1. You've already removed my spleen, tonsils, adenoids, and one of my kidneys. I only came to see if you could get me out of this place! Doctor: I am, bit by bit. -- Aha! Jokes
