More importantly that any particular exercise, is limiting the amount of food and/or calories you are ingesting. Although they certainly work for a lot of people, I don't believe in any particular diet involving herbs or pills, shakes or exclusions. I believe that a person needs to eat well-rounded and properly balanced meals. Giving up the foods that you love, can only make you feel depressed or unhappy. It's too hard for some people to try to live like that - especially for long term. You might not think that you overeat but you probably do. Most of us do! If even for a month, try to eat smaller portions of food. Eat three meals a day without skipping. Don't go for a second plateful. If you are a person that like to snack, try to make healthier choices (an apple vs a candy bar, etc.). Cut back on the number of sodas you drink a day, or opt for diet soda instead. Better yet, drink water. Also, try to take even a short walk each day. Even 15 minutes a day is better than nothing! You really should notice some weight loss if you are true to yourself and stick with it. It's helpful to listen to music while you walk - you'll find you can walk for an even longer period of time, as well. It's really important to work your heart when you walk. It's ideal to walk to the point where you are breathing fast enough to where you can still talk but can't sing a song. If you don't have the time to walk that long, walk at least until you are sweating a little. Once there, you've achieved it. Walking also is a boost to your metabolism. Don't give up!
