Hey everyone,
I'm new to these forums, so it will take me a while to get used to the overwhelming amounts of info here.
I'm posting because I'd like to share my personal experience. I hope that my experiences can be of benefit to people who have found themselves in similar situations.
I am currently 19 years old and I (like many) have been dealing with acne for over 7 years (my mom had some bad genes). In my quest to rid myself of acne, I've been under almost every antibiotic-dermatologist-recommended-"hell-lets-give-this-a-try" program imaginable. I've been on almost ever "-cycline" out there (the one I remember most was doxycycline.) And I've even been on Accutane for 6 months. I've even tried Proactive for a year and a half!
After all of my efforts (and the efforts of my parents and my dermatologist). I simply did not see the clear skin I wanted. eusa_wall.gif
So, in the fall of '05, I went back to my dermatologist and asked him if there was anything left for me to do. As it turned out, I've exhausted their ideas and all the recommended was another 6 month cycle of accutane (with horrendous side effects including increased chances of vision loss and bone damages). At this point, I figured it was time to start exploring other alternatives to pill popping.
Alas! Shortly after my visit to my dermatologist, I found Face Reality Skin Care. It's a new way of treating and dealing with the acne you have and, by adhearing to their regimen, keeping your skin clear. When I went in, they devised up a program that is personalized and designed to match the way my skin behaves.
I think the greatest thing about this program, opposed to Proactive, is that this program is *dynamic*. Let's face it, your skin is the biggest organ in your entire body and it changes to adapt to its environment. When using proactive (as most if you probably know), your skin changes and adapts to the proactive program thus making it less and less effective. With the Face Reality Skin Care program however, your skin is treated as if it really is a living, changing, organism. At each appoitment every two weeks, my acne medication or my regime is changed to increase the stress on my acne.
Ahh there is just too much to say in one sitting. I just want to get the word out there about Face Reality Skin Care and my own experiences with it. It's not a walk in the park though, to see results you have to put in your time and strictly stick to the regimen with no excuses. Nevertheless, the results I am finally seeing are worth it and I encourage those who have nothing to lose to at least look them up.
