Mild hypocalcemia, antacid, antihyperphosphatemic.

How Supplied:
Capsule: 500 mg, 600 mg, 900 mg, 1250 mg; Chew Tablet: 300 mg, 500 mg, 600 mg, 650 mg; Lozenge/Troche: 240 mg; Suspension: 500 mg/5 mL; Tablet: 10 mg, 250 mg, 375 mg, 420 mg, 500 mg, 600 mg, 625 mg, 650 mg, 750 mg, 1,000 mg, 1,250 mg; Tablet, Extended Release: 500 mg
Dosage
•Chewable Tablets, Tablets, Suspension, Gum, Lozenges, Wafers
Adults: 0.5-1.5 g, as needed.
•Capsules, Suspension, Tablets, Chewable Tablets
Hypocalcemia, nutritional supplement.
Adults: 1.25-1.5 g 1-3 times/day with or after meals.
Antihyperphosphatemic.
Adults: 5-13 g/day in divided doses with meals.
NOTE: The preparation contains 40% elemental calcium and 400 mg elemental calcium/g (20
mEq/g).
•Florical
1 capsule or tablet daily (also contains 8.3 mg sodium fluoride per capsule or tablet).
•Children's Mylanta Upset Stomach Relief Chewable Tablets or Liquid Upset stomach in children.
1 tablet or 5 mL for children weighing 24-47 pounds (or those aged 2-5 years) and 2 tablets or 10 mL for children weighing 48-95 pounds (or those aged 6-11). |
