Use fluocinide around the eyes

I have been using fluocinide on the corner of my eye after I noticed that i had been bitten and the itching was spreading to the bottom of my eye. Since Fluocinide had been prescribed to me for a skin bite/irritation before I thougth it was o.k to use. Now I read I shouldn't have used it on my eye? The area where this originally started is now red and a little swollen. It's itchy also but I thougth it was related to the original symptom. Can this be serious? Should I go in to see a doctor? I've had no other side effects.
