hctz increasing uric acid level

I have been taking hydrochlorthiazide 25mg with cozar 50mg for the past 2 years for hypertension. My blood pressure is well controlled. However, I notice some soreness of the great toe area and had my uric acid level checked. It is increasing slightly by 2 and am concerned it may be the HCTZ.
