Taking MonoNessa while BreastfeedingBy Shannon W. from Hollister, CA on August 18, 2006 Category: MonoNessa (Oral) I am two months postpartum, and exclusively breastfeeding. My doctor wants me to use some form of birth control, and I have only ever used Ortho Cyclen and MonoNessa (changed to generic because of insurance). My first question is, aren't I safe from becoming pregnant because of the breastfeeding? My second question is, if I do decide to take the pill, how do I determine the start date, since I do not have a period? The drug insert only gives instructions on Sunday-start and First-day start, both of which are based on when your period starts. |
