Leg swelling

I've been prescribed DuetDHA by my OB. I am 12 1/2 weeks pregnant. I've been taking the vitamins for 9 days. In that time frame, I have gained 12 pounds and have excessive swelling in my legs and ankles. Could this be caused by the vitamins and is there any way to alleviate the problem?
