Are there reactions to recieving a Cortisone Shot in the Knee

I recieved a cortisoneou shot 7/19/2006 in my right knee. I wonder if there any reactions to your system as a result? I have type 2 Diebeties and noticed that my blood sugar reading was rather high from what it had been. I also have flushness on my face. Is this normal?
