Patch While Exercising

I was reading in the pamphlet that comes with the patch and it states to take the patch off two hours before engaging in strenuous exercise. I just wanted to know what the meaning of "strenuous" is. Does this have to do with the activity or sweating. Do you put the patch back on when your finished?
