Could I be pregnant?

I'm 43 years old, have 2 sons (19 and 16) and during the past 4 years didn't take any kind of pill because my ex-husband had the vasectomy. I started to take Junel Fe 1.5/30 17th days ago (my doctor prescribed to me), and I had intercourse last night for the first time since I started the Junel Fe 1.5/30; lately, my boyfriend told me that he thinks that the pills are not safe if I'm not taking at least since one month ago... is this true? what do you recommend me?

Also, I took my pill last night 4 hours later that usual... could that be a problem?

Another thing is that I'm having some acne on my chest and in my neck and I didn't have any normally, could this be caused by this pill?
