Facial discoloration

I have faint but distinct light brown discoloration on both sides of my face, below my sideburn line - it almost looks like my face is dirty or that I have very faint "muttonchops." It's not solid - in fact, there are light patches throughout the area. I've been taking TriNessa about 1-1/2 years and noticed this about 6-8 months ago. I'm sure this is hormonal, but is there anything I can do about it? I'm 48 years old.
