Side Effect of Blephamide, inside mouthBy Shirley Carl from Baltimore, MD on June 02, 2006 Category: Blephamide (Ophthalmic) Shortly after I started using Blephamide, for an eye infection, I developed irritations inside my lips, upper and lower. Also, the tip of my tongue burns. The bumps and rough places inside my lips do not hurt, but are just uncomfortable. Previous to using Blephamide, my eye doctor had me on TobraDex which is an antibiotic, steriod combination eye drop. I used that for about a week. I used the Blephamide for about a week, and now I am on Prednisolone, an ophthalmic steriod. I have used this drug for more than 3 weeks, and am still using it for "allergy eyes." ( I also have "dry eyes") Is it possible that any or all of these products have caused the irritation inside my mouth? I have had it for 5 weeks now. Thank you. Shirley Carl |
