hydroxyzine hydrochloride for nasal?

I picked up a prescription for my son from the pharmacy that had been called in by his doctor. He has a horrible cold and is coughing. Hydroxyzine HCL was prescribed. Everything I am reading says it is an antianxiety. Is this also indicated to dry up nasal secretions?
