Loose bowels and QustranBy Deb [website] from Chandler, AZ on March 09, 2006 Category: Questran (Oral) 20 years ago I had my gallbladder removed. About 2 years ago I started having problems w/ bowel incontinence (I would have loose stools and not make it to the restroom). My family doctor sent me a colon-rectal surgeon who said that surgery usually made things worse. They both said it could have been caused because of childbirth (I have 5 children). I went to a gastroentrologist. He said it could because of having my gallbladder removed. He put me on Questran and said it binds the bile. It has helped most of the time. I have had a few accidents of not making it to the restroom. But I still have loose stools several times a day. Although I am able to make it to the bathroom most of the time now. What else can I do for these loose bowels? |
