bactrim ds during pregnancy

I'm 10 weeks pregnant. My doctor has prescribed Septra DS/ Bactrim DS (sulfamethoxazole/tmp) 2x a day for 7 days to treat a UTI. Is it OK to take this medication while pregnant? What are the risks?
