Side effects of Leuprolide acetate (Lupron)By barb from OH on February 23, 2006 Category: Leuprolide acetate Hi, i have been on Lupron Since AUgust of 2005, i am on the 11.5 mg, and took my last injection mid november. It is now mid/end feb, i am still having hot flashes really bad, and my body is feeling just weird, its hard to describe, i feel weird, not the same. Is there any type of side effect, or something that happens like this towards the end of the injection, like when the injection is coming out of your system? I also have had a period the whole time on the shot, the whole 6 months, i still had a period, normal period until january, january i had a 3 day period, and this month feb, i have not had one at all! i took a preg test last week, it was negative, BUT people are telling me it could have been to early to tell. I know that i was still ovulating also on the Lupron, because I know the slippery discharge, and light cramping when i ovulate. I just want to know how long after the last injection will the Lupron be out of my system and will i be able to lose the weight i have gained while on it, its been IMPOSSIBLE to lose while on it, i am hoping i can when its out of my system. I would never recommend Lupron to anyone, it was a bad experience for me, emotionally and physically!!!! I guess what i want to know is will my body react a certain way when the shot is coming out of my system, to get back to normal? maybe that is what i am feeling now? thankyou! barb |
