Switching from Ovcon-35 to SprintecBy Erin from Connecticut on February 22, 2006 Category: Sprintec (Oral) I have been on Ovcon-35 for a couple years now and I have noticed that this has made me extremely depressed. I recently switched my prescription and was put on Sprintec. Has anyone had any good results from Sprintec? Or, does anyone know about its relation to depression?

Reply about Ovcon 35 to SprintecHi. I read your announcement of this site and wanted to reply to you even though it is a bit late. I am doing the exact opposite as you are I am switch from Sprintec to Ovcon 35. The reason I wanted to get off Sprintec is because it was causing me to have periods in between. So I was having additionally 2 periods a month. It only happened twice but I quickly put a stop to it. Plus, while I was on the pill I noticed more severe cramping, when usually when I was not on the pill I experienced little to no crmaping. also I was getting some common side effects like headaches and breast swelling, but those came and went. I don't know if the Spritc had any effect on my mood or caused any depression. I didn't notice that it did. I just wanted to give you as much feedback as possible on the pill. It wasn't for me but not all medication fits everyone. I would love to hear from you and know how Sprintec has been working for you so far. Also if you could give me any info you can about Ovcon 35 besides the depression side effect that would be great.
Again sorry this is such a late reply. Hope to hear from you soon though!
Thanks Amanda By amanda from FL, USA on June 29, 2006 | Reply | Switching from Ovcon to SprintecI am currently switching from Ovcon 35 to Sprintec for two reasons. First I was exhausted all the time and secondly my limbo was so low. Sprintec is a lower homorone level which should help with both. I would be interested in hearing more about others using Sprintec and it's effects. Thanks! I've been taking it for almost three weeks and notice bloating! I guess I will have to pay $35.00 a month for the name brand because so far, Sprintec is aweful!
