Taken off the market--why?

I just phoned my local pharmicist to have my monthly Trinessa refilled, and he said that Trinessa was recently taken off the market. I told him that I was going to immediately "google" "Trinessa" and find out exactly why. Should I be on the lookout for any unusual symptoms?

Please advise with as much detail as you can to help ease my concern.

Thanks so much,
Stephaney

TriNessa Recall answer

I work in a pharmacy and also take TriNessa... We recieved a recall letter from McKesson Drugs, vaguely stating that some tablets aren’t breaking down like they should. There is another generic brand available, TriSprintec, which I will be switching to. If anyone has leftover recalled medicine, I think most pharmacies will exchange it for the TriSprintec for you. Hope that helps...
