Period on Trinessaperiod on trinessa By AW from Oklahoma on February 21, 2006 Category: TriNessa (Oral) I just had my second baby and had my six week checkup with my doctor and I am on TriNessa. Well, I have been taking it and I have been on my period for two weeks and it didn’t start until I started taking it. I have one more week of active pills and then I’ll start the inactive pills. Is this a problem? I just had my checkup and I know that there aren’t any problems. Is this just post partum hormones or something? Thanks. |
BM from CaliforniaWere you on Trinessa before your recent pregnancy? If Trinessa is new to you, I would check with your doctor. Some years back I tried a different type of b.c. and it made me have a constant menstruation (not to mention I was always tired because my body was working overtime with the long cycle) I found out it was the type of pill and levels of hormones that wasn't interacting with my body well. There are so many different types of pills out there with different hormone variations for this reason--everyone's body is different. I would recommend checking with your doctor, explaining your situation and inquiring about the possibility of switch. Good Luck! March 21, 2006 | Reply | Long PeriodsDuring the first two months, i also had longer periods than normal. About 14 days. Before the pill, they were about 12 days, so i was confused to as how come this wasnt' helping. But by the fourth month of being on Trinessa, my period came the day i was suppossed to take my first inactive pill and was over before the last one was taken. So it all worked out, having a 7 day period. By Chels on June 24, 2006 | Reply | Write a Reply |
