Can an immediate stoppage of Humatrope Injections cause any of the symptoms that I am experiencing?

I have been on Humatrope injections for 5 1/2 months. I am now experiencing extreme swelling of the lower legs and ankles. My ankles are very painful and are causing me problems upon walking. My physician immediately stopped the injections Thursday (Feb 9,2006) and ordered blood work and other types of test in search of a solution to this problems. By Sunday (Feb 12,2006), I began to experience nausea. The next day (Monday, Feb 13, 2006), I experienced nausea, vomiting and stomach cramps that lasted for 11 hours. It is Thursday (Feb 16, 2006) again, and I am still nauseated and weak with very little energy.

After a while I began to think that I could be experiencing a virus or the flu. However, the symptoms I am feeling are different from what I have experienced during past episodes of those illnesses.

I have contacted my doctor to discuss these things with him. He is out of the office and will see me upon his return, but I also wanted a second opinion.
