Kenolog Wrecked my lifeKenolog made me very ill By Sue from Lincolnshire U.K on February 10, 2006 Category: Kenalog-40 (Injection) Six weeks after having a kenolog injection my body went into a severe state of an anxiety acccompanied by severe depression. 2 weeks prior to this my menstral cycle had become extremely erratic. l was prescribed hrt and for the first month started to feel better and had only one bleed at the right time. However the second month l started to bleed on day 18 of my cycle and the anxiety returned. l was prescribed anti depressants and trnquillizers. 3 years later l was still having irregular periods and still suffering appaling symptoms. It was decided that l should undergo ahysterectomy by this time l was 38 years old.this didn t seem to make much difference, Consequently l was put on even more drugs. 4 years on l have been told that for some reason l am still not able to maintain a hormonal balance and that this is affecting my nervous system. NOT MUCH FUN The sad part about this was that l asked my doctor about the possible side effects of kenolog before l had the injection. Only to be told that they were nothing to worry about. KENALOG REACTIONSHi i just recieved two set of shot in my face of kenalog to decrease inflamation caused by silicone. I now see two depressions in my skin and they seem to be getting biiger. Is there anyway to stop the process. I am so worried it will get noticable big. Right now they look like dimples. Theya renot even in the site of the shot injections. Please reply. Noone has any answeres. ialso notice depressiong and irregular periods. What do i do how long does it last? I had a series of 12-14 infections because of a gynogological ailment. I also asked the Dr. if there were any side affects, she said," no," because I was getting the minamal amount of dosage. My cheeks started to swell ( puffy and redness, I was gaining weight and could not concentrate. When I asked her about these problems , she said, " it was not from the injections." I went to get a second opinion and was told to stop these injections immediately ( blood test were done) This doctor also works for the same hospital. The 2nd opinion doctor called my doctor before giving me the results, to warn my doctor. Who then called me and also told me to get more blood test done.Well because of these infections now I suffer from Endocrinogical problems and may possibly have Endo Carsinoma cancer, which the doctors are monitoriing. I suffer from hair loss from the scalp of my head, hair growth on body and face, which I didn't have before. I can die if there is to much stress in my system, hormonal un-balance, irregular periods and loss of muscle, skin tissue, pain and numbness in the areas that where injected( areas that I did not have a problems with before the injection were administrated). I almost lossed my job, for job ubandonment. I could not wake up in the morning I would fall into to a deep sleep, or would or feel lathargic, disoriented, helusonations, peranoia, and depression. The worst part about this, is that I cannot sue the hospital because 1. I work for the company 2. The hospital is privately owned and you cannot sue a privately owned hospital, you can only have an arbitration. The most you can get from these cases is $25.000, and no attorney wants to fight the company because it's to expensive get a 2nd opinion or they just don't think the case is strong enough to win. I'm in a real ( rut)! This has also affected my sexual inhancement (no desire). I am 36, and I am a single parent with all these physicaal ailments. Can anyone help ?????? By unknown from San Jose Ca. on August 29, 2006 | Reply | I am to have kenalog injections into eye muscles from Thyroid eye diseaseI have thyroid eye disease, and because of continued swelling, after 2 orbital decompression surgies and radiation treatments, I am still having problems. I have been on PREDNISONE since January 2005 for this, and cannot taper off because everytime I get to a low dose, the swelling comes back and my eyes start to bug out. I have been sent to Vanderbilt Eye Institute, and am scheduled to have injections on October 30th.Should I? I must get off prednisone, it has given me CUSHING's SYNDROME and a host of other health issues. HELP!!! Prednisone has already given me Cushing's Syndrome, and I have had 1 adrenal crisis trying to taper off prednisone. The idea is to give me these injections to put the steroids only where they are needed so I can taper off the prednisone. They will be given under my eye...shooting the kenalog behind my eyes into the muscles. What would you do?
