Side effects of Sonata 10mg - pain in veins?

I have been on Sonata for approximately 1 year and have increased pain in the veins in my legs and recently my arms.  On a 1-10 pain level (10 being the highest) I on most days feel I am at 6.  The pain in my legs is much worse and just pushing or touching on my veins is very uncomfortable.  My doctor said that this is not a side effect of Sonata but I feel it has to be.   Please let me know, am I the only one experiencing this?  I have noticed also that  I have pain in my tail/rectal area also and have to shift my position frequently as I sit.  Does Sonata increase problems in the vascular?  Thanks for your help.
