Flovents effect on the singing voice

I am a singer with a broncheal inflammation. I am trying to find out if there is any way to minimize the effect of Flovent on my voice.
How does the medication affect the vocal folds(do they dry out, swell...)?
Does flovent affect other parts of the larynx?
Is the effect on the voice immediate  or accumulative?
If I stop using the medication for a couple of days before a concert or an intence practicing period, will the voice return to normal?
Are there other puffers that are less harmful for the voice?

Thank You,

Eva B
