Nifedical XL :Burning of the fore arms when long sleeved shirts are worn.

I have been taking nifedical xl for several years for poor circulation to my hands and fingers. They had a blue to purple coloring before taking this medicine and were always cold. Now for years I find it intolerable to have anything covering my fore arms. They burn and my dermatogolist has tried everything in his book , over the past three years to no avail. I have just returned from Iowa City University Hospitals Dermatology Unit and they to can find no reason a 70 year old fairly healthy man should have this problem. The next step is to see the neurology department and start more testing , catscans etc. Not something I am looking forward to. Could this medicine be the cause? I have no problem in the summertime, but in Iowa in the winter, I really would like to be able to wear long sleeved shirts and be comfortable with a lower heat sitting on my thermostat. These utility bills are way to much!
