How many regulated Health Companies, how many licensed in florida ?.By Roberto I. Alonso on January 19, 2006 Category: Florida Health Insurance Please let me know how many health insurance companies are fully regulated in Florida, and how many are licensed to do business in the state. My understanding is that fully regulated carriers in the state afford the prospective customer more rate stability since the company must get approval from the state's commissioner office before a rate increase. There are three such companie in Fl., Blu Cross and Blue Shield of Fl., Humana, Aand recently Aetna has been added to the list, is this correct?. Thanks. |
