iam taking warafin,is there any safe cold medicine I can take with it

The doctor has put me on warafin(cumadin) for blood clots in my leg veins.I have a severe cold and I need relief from coughing,runny nose,sinus pain.I have been getting mixed answers from the pharmist and the doctor.Is there any relief out there for this.Please respond.I am 72 years old and in otherwise good health.
