Effectiveness from Alesse to Low Ogestrel 28

My doctor recently switched my birth control pill from Alesse to Low Ogestrel 28, because I started Topamax for migraines. (I have been on the pill for many years solely for birth control). My husband would ABSOLUTELY kill me if I got pregnant. Was there any decrease in effectiveness in my birth control when I switched pills? I have always been religious about taking my pill every night at the same time. I’ve been pregnant twice, both planned. I need to stay on the Topamax; maybe we need to consider the Big V (vasectomy)....although I noticed on a chart that the effectiveness rate of vasectomy doesn’t seem to rival that of "perfect use" of the pill, ha ha.

Thanks,
Erika
