IS THERE ANY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE BRAND NAME AND DOXICYCLINE HYCLATE?By Carol Savitz from Fort Lauderdale, Florida on January 05, 2006 Category: Adoxa (Oral) Our pharmacist said that Adoxa was very expensive and that since both of my daughters need to take it for acne that the generic form would be a perfect substitute. My dermatologist had originally prescribed the brand Adoxa and said that it was a sustained release form of the drug. The dose is 100 mg 2x a day. Please tell me if the doxicycline hyclate will be as effective. Thank you. |
