(I am referring to the brand name - my system reacts very adversely to some of the generics) Then a few months ago, I had a prescription of this filled, and discovered to my dismay, that according to my pharmacy, the drug/formula had been 'improved'. Where before, the prescription was slightly thick and syrupy, it had a pleasant, kind of fruity flavor, and was effective in suppressing my cough, as well as helping to break up my congestion and bring up phlegm. Oh, and in case you are thinking that this might just be my opinion or in my imagination... the pharmacy tech at my pharmacy said the smell is now just about enough to make you gag... It practically makes me sick to take it, and the consistency is like water. Any suggestions???? Sincerely, Kelly Edmonds |
