The side affects of Afeditab CR, 60mg

I have been taking afeditab CR 60 mg and diovan hct 160/12.5 mg for several years to control hypertension. My recent blood pressure was 120/72. An annoying, but livable, symptom was a minor itching rash on legs and body. About a week ago my palms developed an unbearable itch and rash. My doctor recommended discontinuing the afeditab temporarily. I did this for two days and the annoying rash and itch seemed to disappear. However, I just took my blood pressure; 170/95! Any advice that I can pass on to my doctor?

I also take allopurinol (gout) and Zocor (triglycerides).

Thank you
