Estrasorb and extreme muscle tension, can't relax, can't sleepBy sheila from Oklahoma on November 18, 2005 Category: Estrasorb (Topical) I have been using estrasorb for about 2 months and am experiencing extreme feelings of muscle tension, inability to relax, especially when sitting still, hyper feelings. I have cut down from 1 packet at night to 1/2 packet at night. Symptoms may be mildly better, but still miserable. I am having to take sleeping pills to sleep at night. Could estrasorb be causing these problems? My body is reacting as though I'm under extreme stress, but I actually have no thoughts of anxiety, sadness or depression..(my body is responding as though I am) Help! |
Insomnia and anxietyI have been too high on estrogen too, and others I know as well, and we have experienced the same symptoms you are talking about. I was told that I was taxing my adrenal glands with too much hormone, or too much at the wrong time. It causes the body to put out adrenal hormones because it is under stress, hence the anxiety feelings and sleeplessness. I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN. My endocrinologist has helped me calm my adrenals down, actually by taking me off the estrogen pill I was on and giving me Estrasorb. You might try using the half packet in the morning instead of at night, or using it only every other day, in the morning rather than night. It also may depend on what else you are taking that may interract with the estrogen. It is also important to eat right in order to not tax your adrenals -- excess caffeine and sugar, overexercise, and not enough protein are drains on the adrenals. There is plenty of good reading out there about adrenal health these days. Perhaps you don’t even need the estorgen? By Jan from South Carolina on February 22, 2006 | Reply | Write a Reply |
